Method

  1. Wash the potatoes, then wipe them dry with paper towels. Transfer to a platter, drizzle with oil, and then use your hands to thoroughly coat the potatoes in the oil. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Arrange potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Set the oven to the French fries setting, lower the temperature to 200°C, and cook the potatoes for 40–50 minutes, or until a sharp knife easily slides through them. After 20 minutes, check the potatoes; if one side seems to be browning too quickly, flip them with tongs. Then, after another 20 minutes, check the potatoes once more to make sure they are properly cooked. When finished, the inside should be fluffy and soft on the outside.
