Recently, we partnered with Reuse Network, a UK charity membership organisation that connects reuse charities with commercial partners, to donate a number of air fryer ovens to support one of their members, Sue Ryder.
Making a Difference Through Reuse
Sue Ryder is a well-established UK charity that has been providing expert and compassionate care for over 70 years. Their services support people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as those experiencing grief and loss. With hospice care centres in locations including Cheltenham, Reading, Leeds, South Oxfordshire, Peterborough and Bedfordshire, alongside national bereavement support services, Sue Ryder ensures that no one has to face these difficult moments alone.
A significant part of Sue Ryder’s funding comes from their retail operations. Donations of quality products, such as air fryer ovens, help generate essential income that directly supports nursing care, emotional support services and a wide range of community projects across the UK.
Why This Matters
By donating air fryer ovens to Sue Ryder’s central warehouse in Northampton, we were able to contribute—albeit in a small way—to the continuation of these vital services. The funds raised through resale help sustain hospice care and bereavement support for individuals and families during some of the most challenging times of their lives.
For us, this initiative was not about promotion, but about responsibility. Working with Reuse Network allowed us to ensure that usable products were redirected where they could have the greatest positive impact, rather than going to waste.
